I’m glad that I liked this episode considerably better than the last few, although I wouldn’t give it more than a solid 6/10. Okay, maybe a 6.5/10 if you twisted my arm to set aside my misgivings about season 7 as a whole. Despite some good emotional intensity, not an episode that will go into my all-time favourite top 10.

Well, it’s clearly not me who is at peace with where they’re trying to go this season. Or rather the fact that they don’t seem to be going anywhere this season except along that road that leads to annoying and alienating as many fans as possible.

I think a picture can say more than a thousand words here.

This one felt like a run-of-the-mill episode with some good season arc story building but also questionable side plots that had me raise an eyebrow. In the grand scheme of things, I liked the episode as such, but with only ten episodes to wrap up the whole series, it seemed like potential was being wasted.

I’m not quite sure why Freddie Highmore said that season 7 was going to be “big”, because the first 20% of it that we’ve already seen hasn’t felt very big to me. This one was more on the mediocre side, although I will say that upon closer inspection, it had interesting nuances that you only see when you peel back the layers. All in all, a solid episode with some things I liked and some things I didn’t like quite as much.

This felt like a pretty solid episode with good pacing. Nothing that really stood out to me as good or bad – a lovely season opener with a personal patient story and the starting point for some of the threads that will unravel this season.

Oh wow, so much goodness in this episode, and a bit of frustration as well. I was positively surprised how little actual drama there was, not that I’m complaining. In some ways this almost felt like a series finale, but I’m incredibly happy we’re getting another season.

This day we watched unfold was of course less than beautiful, which was to be expected, and it certainly didn’t end on any kind of beautiful note or notion. The episode left me absolutely deflated, and I think I would have struggled with this recap even if I’d had the time to write it up before the season finale.

Well, we were finally “blessed” with a resolution to the Glassman brain conundrum, not that I particularly love the outcome. But I like it more than what had been speculated before, so I’ll take this as a small win. Some good stuff in this episode overall. Oh, also: We’re getting a season 7!! Yay!!!! 🎉🥳🍾

This episode was a lot of love/hate. I hated it more than I thought I would because of where we all think this might be headed. On the other hand, I also loved some aspects of it, plus nice directing work by Freddie Highmore!

Here we were, after a two-week cliffhangery wait to eagerly learn about whether Glassman’s fate was sealed, but… what we actually learned wasn’t that. Not a bad episode at all, but having to wait yet another week for that potential punch in the gut was a little frustrating.

Ah geez. Way to drop another bomb on us. Or, well, mightily hint at it in those last few seconds. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves, there’s much more to uncover before we get to that part. Let’s get into it.
